The Cookie Cottage and Me

Hello darlings!
Today, Mitchell and I had a small little adventure. I mentioned to him that I noticed a new pink cookie place that I'd never seen before. I assumed it was a new business that opened up here in downtown, Rexburg. After we ran a few errands on campus, we decided to check the place out.
The cookie shop we visited was called The Cookie Cottage. Originally with a branch from Rigby, the company decided to expand their business by opening a smaller branch here in our little town! And by small, I really mean it. The shop is tiny (ideal for a quick pick up of your order), however, they do have a couple-seat right outside of their front door. Perfect for a sweet date! Of course, I had to snatch the seat before anyone else to take some photos!

From the menu, we decided to order a set of 4 cookies which came in a box. They have regular sized cookies as well as their collection of Giant cookies! The Box of 4 promotion excluded the Giants, however.
Our selection consisted of the Basic Sugar cookie, Pink Lemonade cookie, Vanilla Bean Pear cookie, and lastly (a daring one for us both) the Mint Chocolate Chip cookie, all for $7!

Here is a break down of my review.
Basic Sugar Cookie - I've only had the Walmart sugar cookies which are very very soft. When I took my first bite out of this one, it was a lot thicker and firm (but not crunchy firm). The frosting was very sweet and savory, it was my favorite!
Vanilla Bean Pear - Mitchell ordered this one. The combination was intriguing, so we had to give this one a try. The first thing I blurted out when I took a bite was "ooooh refreshing". It had the standard sweetness of a cookie but a slight punch of fruitiness. It kind of felt like having a lightly concentrated juice on a hot day. If that makes any sense!
Pink Lemonade - This was different, in my opinion. To have a beverage flavored cookie...hmm... it was yummy! Of course it leaned more towards a sour taste rather than sweet, but I like a little tang. Pink lemonade (especially raspberry or strawberry lemonade) is my favorite drink anyways!
Mint Chocolate Chip - I know there's a lot of controversy about mint chocolate... but if you're a lover of the club than this is a sweet, packed, and rich cookie for you! It didn't have an overpowering mint fusion to it.
Over all, I am glad I tried their cookies. I would definitely order more sugar cookies again in the future! If you'd like to visit their shop, you can do so by following their address at 36 Carlson Ave, Rexburg, Idaho, and you can call them at (208) 745-9300. Have a nice day!
